Aww, new restriction on requests

I think this is a great idea. I really can't imagine this will effect many people.

Ever since I saw the original poll, I've been watching to see how often someone had more than an hour in the queue at a time. It was relatively infrequent. But when it happened, it really backed things up for the whole work day.

On the days that I have looked at the playlist, sure it's been more full, but I notice more people are able to request and the variety has been greater. We'll still give it more time and see how it pans out. Thanks for cooperating everybody.

Me too! I like to request my favorites, but there are times when I don't get a chance to listen to them because they're so far down on the list!

This is so true. About the only time I get a chance to listen to a request is at night when the queue is shorter. I hope that this change works.

You can always try going into chat and sweet talking sub into puting your request to the top of the list

The queue was over 6 hours yesterday even with the 30 min limit.
I hate to suggest this, however, how about also cutting the amount of points you get for a post? This would stop a lot of us having hours worth of points.

I'm gonna get mugged for suggesting this aren't I

I think the time limit changed from an hour to 30 minutes at a time.

I don't think the limits have changed when they lost the data. We only lost about two months of information and this has been instated for a while.

You know, just before the server went down, the list was rarely very long. I think people are just so happy to have the server back up that they're on a request binge. Should settle down in a few weeks or so.

Well when I was requesting tracks the other day, it told me I couldn't request any more because the length of what I already requested had exceeded 30 minutes.

The 30min limit has not been changed from before. That was the standard limit before we upgraded the server.

Right now there are 2 limits

1. Your points
2. 30min max block, or 1 track greater then 30min. This way 1 person can't fill the queue.
