128k Streams - Technical Issues

Post by Subsonic Radio » Feb Mon 18, 2008 8:42 pm

UPDATE 4

I can give you a quick update...

Looks like by this weekend we should have the scheduled streams back.

By next weekend we will have 50 requests streams and 50 background streams. Of the 50 background streams 25 will be at 96k and 25 at 64k.

Thanks for hanging in there.

Team SR

UPDATE 3

Just a quick update here I fixed some of the background stream issues, the just playing the intro, etc. I also bumped up the stream to 96k, since it sounded so lousy. This currently will limit the background slots to 15....for now ;)

Yes I did wink.. we will be back to full streaminess in a couple weeks.

soo......There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of ev'ryday
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
And tomorrow's just a dream away....

UPDATE 2

Hang in there subsonic fans.. we might have some good new soon :)

UPDATE 1

I was able to restore the background stream, well kinda. The background stream is now running at 64k and there are only 25 slots.

... Just a quick update here I fixed some of the background stream issues, the just playing the intro, etc. I also bumped up the stream to 96k, since it sounded so lousy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry to announce this...

But all of the 128k streams are down, and will be down for an extended period of time.
  • These streams include:
    128k request stream
    Background Stream
    Scheduled Stream
We are working as quickly as possible to restore these services.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

Ugh, the 64k tracks sound so poopie. We're working as fast as we can to try to get more streams back. Man, bandwidth is expensive. :)

Sorry for the difficulties. We'll figure something out. A lot of people are pulling for us an showing their support. Thank you.

Don't know if it's any help, but the web server company I'm with (midPhase) offer unlimited bandwidth and 400GB of storage space for $11.95/month, including one free domain name, 3 free SQL databases, and lots more. Might be worth shopping around to see if anyone can offer what you need at a better price than you're paying at the moment if bandwidth is your main issue. Just a thought, anyway - good luck with the work getting the site back to normal.

Andre

P.S. Just noticed I've never posted here before, I listen loads but never post - shame on me!!!

Uh, unlimited bandwith for 12 bucks a month? I'm highly interested. Email me (not pm) please with more information and a website.
