Sweet, This time I shall listen to the scheduled stream, I usually only listen to it when Matt's WDW today report is on, because I'm too lazy to download it myself . I will probably annoy my neighbors by humming along with a lot of the stuff too, but the heck with them I need happy today.

Wow, 15 years? A Happy Birthday to Disneyland Paris.
I love listening to tracks from there, especially the parade ones- they seem so energetic and festive.
And josh, thanks for posting all those pics!

I have mixed feelings about DLP. I bought some EuroDisney stock at $5.00 per share figuring that it couldn't go much lower. I was wrong on that, big time! However, I am glad to know that the park is still holding in there and gaining strength because at one point there was speculation that it wasn't working and might be shut down. I think that if I were to have put a park in Europe, I might have chosen Germany or the UK first, but what do I know?

Paris was the #1 tourist destination in Europe at the time, so that was the major impetus in choosing the location. I also wish the park was placed somewhere in the UK, but I guess the powers that be figured it would fare better on the continent's mainland.
There was also a lot of discussion about putting the park in a warm weather climate, somewhere along the Riviera for example. However, proponents of a Paris park pointed to Tokyo Disneyland as proof that a Disney park would survive in a temperate climate with winter snowfall.

In terms of having it in Paris, I think it really benefits from it's location. Taking the RER to the Marne-la-Vallée is not only simple, it's rather scenic. It's on mainland Europe, and having it in Paris makes it easy for those in England to hop on the chunnel. If it was in England, chances are inclement weather would force a closure in the winter season.
