128k Stream full - What do we do?

Post by Subsonic Radio » Mar Thu 29, 2007 1:30 pm

On Tuesday the 128k streams filled to the maximum. Pretty amazing and wonderful if you ask me. I'd love to see over a thousand one day....

Anyways, since we peaked out, which was a goal to be met between Addlema and myself, Addlema has raised the total listeners to 101 people!

So, no worries in the case of not being able to get onto the 128k stream.

Thank you everybody and let's get more people to fill up those additional 51 slots!

Sweet!!! Still wish I could listen hear at work though, still have other people in the office that don't like me listening to it. I can't wait until they aren't in the office so I can.

Any who, glad you reached your goal guys!!!! Hope the fun keeps on coming.

Dr. Ravenscroft, I listen at work too, but I listen through a pair of headphones instead of the speakers. I have those Sony's that hook around your ears, so I can keep one in one ear and leave the other ear free in case some one comes by or calls. Maybe you can try that at work so others won't get "disturbed" by the music.

Yeah, I used to listen at work too till the servers started dying. Now it takes a day just to get Google up let alone any internet music. So it is back to CDs... Try the headphones, I prefer the more traditional ones but with the music down low enough that if someone is looking for me I can hear them. Beats speakers - no one can beef that they don't like your music... Just get a good pair, it is amazing how a bad pair can make your ears hurt!

Well done on the growing listener base Sub & Crew!

Subsonic is always on at my home. I'm glad the 128k got extensions, love it.

Hope this is not too far off topic, but the streams have been running great lately, no pauses or loss of service.

Does Addlema run his own hosting company or something? Seems like a ton of bandwidth (but maybe I'm overestimating what the site uses)...

Take advantage of it. No need to ask more questions!

At my workplace, headphones are more or less "required" so that no one is "disturbed" by a neighbor's music. So I listen to SR on headphones at work, with the volume low enough so I can hear if someone is trying to get my attention.

Thanks again to everyone who makes SR possible!
