Listen links in left navbar and Requests not working - FIXED

Post by js3901 » Jan Sun 21, 2007 6:45 am

Streams and requests are back. Subsonic Radio is at 100% now.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

At current, the Listen links that are located on the left side navbar are not working (not visable). the site is not pulling the information from Shoutcast. we are working on the issue and hope to have everything back up ASAP.

In the mean time, or if this ever happens again, you can see all streams and well as connect right from Shotcast. Here's a link for all the SR streams:

http://www.shoutcast.com/directory/?s=subsonic%27s

In addition, you can also click on Listen up in the top Flash bar. This will connect only to the 128k request stream. Use the link above if you want to connect to the 24k request, 64k request, or 128k schedule streams.

At this time, Requests are not working either. If you try to request a song, you may get a message saying "Could not connect to station, Connection timed out". We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Now Playing and History pages still work. This only affects the links to open the stream in your favorite player as well as requests.

The server was upgraded last night, and it looks like they over looked the opening some of the ports we use.

I will have them opened.

Thanks for the update. Just to make things easy on myself, I usually leave a copy of the .pls file that opens the stream on my desktop. That way, I don't even have to go to the website to start listening to SR. That's how I got myself connected today.

It's especially helpful at work, when I don't want to look like I'm browsing the web when I should be busy working. :)

Thanks js and rdeacon for taking care of this while I was away for the weekend.

I save each stream as a playlist and have a little quick launch folder on my task bar for them :)
