Last night's live DJ chat was a wonderful outcome.

Post by subsonic » Dec Thu 07, 2006 11:21 am

Last night was a great success. 18 people showed up. This is more than double last week. Thank you to all that showed:

rdeacon
Sysfail
Addlema
RiaLucia
Ketira
Happyfunball
Eagle4Life
slotofkit
CC
ZenMondo
Leia
Gonzo
SugarBunnie
Horizons1
Movieman
cruiseguy
GT-4T
lilrascal
IlluminationsNJ
Gizmata

This week I used a microphone to announce who requested what. It was quite fun. I'd like to host these live DJ chats on a regular basis. It's time for listeners to get more involved and start running a very unique site. Spread the word on other forums and sites! With the holidays upon us, the next live DJ chat will probably be a month away.

A thank you again to all!

Can we have one that's at a time that us UK people can join in too, please? Bearing in mind that that one took place at 3am, something about 7-8 hours earlier would be useful...

I'll set something up during a weekend. With the Holidays, know when I'll be home on the weekend. When I know, I'll let everybody else know!

It still added a lot. And having done amateur dj-ing at special occasions, it gets easier the more you do it.

The live request/chat night was awesome! I'm looking forward to the next one and will try to get more people to sign in!

I am so mad at myself for not joining. I totally forgot once I got home and starting doing things around the house. I am going to place a note on my monitor next time so I remember! Glad everyone had a great time.

I'm so sad I couldn't make it! Bah for evil night classes and never ending school. Finals start next week, but if you have another session after they're done I'll be sure to come.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I was unable to join due to socket connection errors from both the java applet and the downloaded Subsonic mIRC client. I tried various settings with firewall, etc... Anyone have ideas as to why I was having problems?

Using Ethereal (packet sniffer), the program was never even transmitting packets to attempt to connect with the server.

Thanks,
Regards,
Aaron

Well I had a great time last night, although i had to do hw so I was mostly a reader and maybe participated here and there. oh well, next time i'll be there.
Oh and yes i throughly enjoyed the dj'ing and the voice over, it added a nice touch.
Hopefully I'll find time to become a regular on the boards again, its been quite some time now.
