There's free programs like Gimp or Paint.NET which are comparable to Photoshop. Also you don't need a book, there's plenty of online tutorials!js3901 wrote:if I had/knew photoshop, I'd do it. Best I have is photoshop elements which I can use to make picture slideshows and turn pictures into graphics to use on t-shirts and things. Maybe I'll have to find a copy of phtoshop and pick up a "photoshop for dummies" book to help...

Hey Sub,
Just a quick question were you guys ever planning on making a New Orleans Square Theme? Cause that's like my favorite section of the park. Oh and on the subject of photoshop... I have Photoshop CS2 and actually am getting pretty good at it. If you guys ever need any assistance on anything just let me know I'm always here to help
Again thanks so much for making the themes and the site cause I have the Adventureland one right now and that one is amazing! Very nice work.

Hey ok so I started working on the NOS one but I am confused on how the whole grid thing works and how to design it peice by peice oh and I have a question on opinion... since NOS is home to Haunted Mansion and POTC as well as the Mark Twain and other classic elements what do you all think I should focus on most for the main part of the design? Cause I am a pirate fan myself but if I focus on POTC I'm sure that won't appeal to all fans
so please let me know your opinions and I will try to think of ideas of how to make it work.

well, take a look at the adventureland theme. Adventureland is home to the Tiki Room, jungle cruise, etc. yet, it just focuses on things like the signage or just the atmosphere. Nothing that's attraction specific. you can do something with the wroght iron railings and building styles of the land. that would work (IMHO)

I agree. I can almost see the iron railings used as a design... The backgrounds are so elaborate. I could never figure out how to make one myself.js3901 wrote:well, take a look at the adventureland theme. Hmmm alright
that actually sounds better and I think it'll be pretty cool now that I think of it I'll have to sketch it out a bit and see what I can do in the Photoshop program but I like that idea so I guess I'm searching for pics of the NOS buildings then. Thanks for the opinions keep em coming if you have any future suggestions I'm still open to anything.
