Not only does my family love the creations that Walt's vision brought into being, but they also thank him for his influence on me, since I'm always in a better mood when I have a Disney trip to plan - LOL!

I wouldn't say he's "inspired" me, but his actions have greatly influenced my life. He's one of my all-time heroes and I think America is a better country for his having lived.

But I wouldn't call him an "inspiration", since I really haven't accomplished much in my life worthy of Walt's attention. I've explored many areas of art and science, created, researched, campaigned, struggled...and ultimately ended up, just another American Zero in suburbia.

So, I certainly think that I understand how his mind worked and consider myself a kindred (although much lesser) spirit, but to say he inspired me would be an insult to the guy.

If I ever write the Great American Novel though, I'll be sure to mention him in the acknowledgments.
