Subsonic Radio 2.0 is now LIVE!

Post by subsonic » Dec Sun 10, 2006 12:14 am

I am very proud to announce Subsonic Radio 2.0. I can't believe how much time went into 2.0. I fact, I didn't complete everything I wanted to which leaves room for more features! The majority of 2.0 consists of further information about tracks and users. And a simpler request system.

New features:
- User Treasures (You can save your favorite track to a list)
- Random Theme Switching (For the holidays, this will remain on the holiday theme)
- Track and User history (A fun feature to look at what other users are going)
- User Regeneration bars with tooltip info (You'll see exactly when those points are coming back)
- Additional track info popups
- Track comments

That's about it! A huge thanks to rdeacon for providing the new server space! If anybody needs web hosting he's highly reliable and gets things done (SR requires A LOT of server configuration). Thank you too all the testers whom tested on the beta site to get the final glitches out.

A little reminder, nobody is perfect. If you find errors please submit them to http://bugs.subsonicradio.com

Happy Holidays, this is my gift to you! - AND so is the holiday theme I made!

Wow! I was so shocked to see the holiday theme this morning. I love it! Can't wait to explore more. Thanks for all the effort, sub. It looks fantastic!

Edit: I found a hidden Mickey in the snowcaps! Nice touch.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Wow, I am very proud of this and I thank you Subsonic for your time and dedication to it. I remember when I use to visit this site and we didn't have the point system and we could just pick random tracks, but only limited (I can't remember). Then the point system came out and you had to post things on the forums to gain more points (I think that was a good idea). Now this! This is a new step on your website and I am very happy to see this! Thank you!
Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.
