Requests' Stream often interrupted by a track

Dear all:

I'm listening to Subsonic Radio several hours a week, and I've noticed a bug on the Requests' Stream.
Sometimes, without any reason, the current track is covered by an excerpt of another, always the same (but I'm sorry, I forgot the name of this track-I'll post it as soon as I will find it).
I must precise that my player software (RealPlayer) continues to behave as if the current track continued to be played (its title continues to appear). This track is not paused anyway, it continues to be "played" but its sound it replaced by ten or twenty seconds of the other.
Does anyone encounter the same problem?
It's particularly annoying because you're enjoying the current track and, suddenly, an other track comes without prior notice for a few seconds.
The problem seems not to happen with the Background stream.

I hope it was clear (I'm French, please excuse me if not), do not hesitate to ask more details. I'll post the title of the annoying track as soon as it will be broadcast on Subsonic Radio (when I hear it, I recognize it).

Thanks in advance,

T.B.

I'm having a similar issue with the stand only player. Also, I've been having to reinitialize the player also. It will show the count down on a track but I won't have any audio.

occasionally the server admins (namely subsonic or rdeacon) will queue up tracks from the chat. sometimes those tracks will play right away, others will be added to the end of the queue. That COULD explain the interruption. Could also be a hiccup in the server itself.

How often does this happen?

I am currently listening to the Disney Seas "Kiss the Girls" Loop and it just had an interruption with what sounded like part of Illuminations music.

It happens not so often, I'm listening to the stream for about one hour a day and it happens maybe once or twice a week.
But what is strange is that it's always the same track… It's not "Illuminations" in my case, I'm sorry not to have listened to it recently in order to post the title.

Subsonic and rdeacon will usually queue those tracks in the scheduled stream rather than the request stream, so they don't disturb the requests.

The fact just happened ten minutes ago.
The track that replaces the current one begins with a very fast violin sequence, but I still don't remind the name of this track.
I'm too dumb, I should have recorded it… Sorry, this will be for the next time!

Not long at all...just long enough for me to go "What the heck is that?"at which point I call back up the now playing queue to make sure of what I'm suppose to be listening too. Then it's gone and the original track kicks back in. It usually happens 2 or 3 times a week. It's never the same track that it happens on...it's pretty random.

What you are hearing is a backup track that kicks in if the stream goes down. My relays, both Request 96k and the Backup 64k, will do this when the stream goes down. The stream can stop for many reasons, maintence, server overload, etc

I am working on some upgrades to the site that should hopefully even the workload of the servers. If this happens again you can ignore it, or head into chat, usually there is an admin in there.

ALSO one quick note:

I would recommend not recording the stream as we have anti-ripping measures in place that ban you if you are found to be recording the stream.
