it's possible they're blocking the ports needed. Have you tried switching strems (going from the 96k streak to the 24k or to the sceduled stream)? That could help.

Thanks js3901 - I tried switching streams but unfortunately that did not work. Well, at least I was able to listen at home yesterday while I was cleaning. :D The IT guy that is assigned to me should be back from the world cup soon. As soon as he returns I am going to ask him if there is anything I can do to get access. Thanks for your help.

Perhaps they have blocked it. I listen using Itunes.. (the PC version) Have you tried to listen using another method, just to be sure?

the ips used when posting are not in the 64K request streams ban list. that;s one of the first things I looked for.

HI, SubSonic has been working fine for me for a long time and suddenly I am getting a non connection problem. When I click on the Listen link I am directed to http://216.176.96.16:8004/listen.pls , then I get a window telling me I cannot connect. Any help would be appreciated. This is a windows machine running IE under XP Home, with a cable modem.

Best regards, Harry

the problem is that the 64k stream is off the air. I'm not sure why or for how long it will be, only Subsonic could answer that. It must be that you are trying to load the stream as if it was saved in whatever player you're using, which would explain why you're getting that message. try clicking one of the "listen " links on the left navbar. those should still be up and running.

Thanks, on the left I only get a link to the 128k Listen, but it is working so I am a happy camper.

As of this post I don't know what the issue is. I'll be posting updates, when I get them, here.

I ran into a problem today but nothing serious... I was denied access on the radio but I found out it was only because I needed to use 24k

I'll check your IP later to see if it's in the ban list. If not, then it could be that your school is blocking the port needed. have you tried switching to a different stream (64K, 24K, 128K request, 128K Scheduled)? that may help to clear it up.

what port is needed? i tried all the streams. i believe my school only allows the main ports (i think they are 1800 or something like that). i though it just streams through the main port b/c i can stream on other sites (e.g. shoutcast).

BTW where in Buffalo. I went to UB for 5 years
