Disconnecting From the Internet

Post by Cheshire Cat » Nov Sun 04, 2007 12:15 pm

I don't know anything about computers so I don't know how to specifically explain the problem, but if I saty on the Subsonic forums too long (5 to 15 minutes), my compyuter disconnects me from the internet and then it takes up to a half an hour sometimes to re-connect. At first I thought something was wrong with my connection, but then I noticed it only happens on this site. Any ideas as to what's wrong? :(

Chesire...

That is a weird issue. We do not have an auto log out feature for the site, so once you are signed in, you are well signed in until the cookie expires. That expiration time is not 5-15 minutes.

Are you connected to the stream when it disconnects?

I would think it has something to do with your pc or your internet connection, and not the site.

No, I'm usually just browsing the forums. I know it disconnects when I click a new topic and it freezes and then shows a "this page cannot be displayed" screen. I always have weird issues that no one's ever heard of  . Maybe it has nothing to do with the site, maybe it's just bad timing. I'll have to see what's up with the connection provider. Thanks for the feedback.
