Stopping and Starting

Post by sprint18 » Sep Tue 25, 2007 7:55 am

Just wondering if this is my problem or the site. Music keeps stopping and starting. First time since I have been on this site that I had this problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Which stream are you trying to listen to?

If you are using the 128k request stream, try a lower version, say 64k.

Its possible your connection cannot handle the 128k stream.

Which leads me to ask, what player are you using to listen?

And what type of connection do you have?

oh and welcome to the site!!

I believe I am using a T1 connection with Windows media player. I am at work so I use the one for "those stingy work connections". I have been listening to your station for weeks now and this is the first time I have had any major issues. Thanks!

If you hit play rather than opening it fresh (file > open URL), that might cause it.

I would also recommend getting Winamp. I personally don't like WMP. Its free so you can't beat it with a stick. :)

Here is the link for Winamp

Hi Rich, thanks for your help with this matter. I downloaded Winamp but it doesn't seem to work at all. It says "connecting http://216.176.96.16:8004" then it times-out. When I try my windows media player as before, it switches to Winamp and I get the same message. Maybe this is due to the network problem described on your opening page? Really getting bummed, need Disney fix.
