Subsonic Radio

I thought it might be worth bringing this to people's attention. I am a relatively new SR listener and I had big problems becoming a member of the site. First, when I tried to become a member the site would not allow my hotmail email (guybunce@hotmail.com) saying it was blocked - does anyone know why?

Second, when I used another email to set up an account I got through to the page saying that the subscription email would now be sent to my account for me to click a link and this email never arrived. I wrote to SR using the Feedback twice but never got a reply, my account just started working all of a sudden.

These points are not meant to sound like complaints as I love listening to SR now that I'm 'in'. My worry is that other 'guest' members are having the same problems.

Does anyone know why this happened to me? Is it a bug in the system?

this is something with phpBB, the system we use for the forums. We control some aspects of that system, but we didn;t create it, so I don't think that it's something we can fix.

as far as the hotmail address being blocked, somehow the "hotmail.com" email domain was put into the ban list. not sure how that happened or who put it inthere, but I just removed it so should not have that problem again. I think it may have been put in due to the number of spam threads that have happened.

Is the feedback page still broken? If so would it be worth putting a message on it?
