I liked State of Fear, but didn;t find it as gripping as some of his earlier stuff (like Congo, Disclosure, Timeline, Rising Sun...).

Congo is definitely one of the better ones but Jurassic Park is my favorite.

I love the Star Wars books that have been out. Right now I'm reading Labrynth of Evil which is a prequel to Revenge of the Sith. I've read it before it's really well done.

I am not a big Star Wars EU fan. I was interested in reading Labyrinth of Evil, and I would like to check out the Darth Bane novel. Otherwise, I don't read much SW stuff other than comics. Approaching Storm was good.

I'm in the middle of Raymond Feist's Riftwar Saga. I just finished Magician: Apprentice and Magician: Master. Those were very entertaining.

I've read several of the Dune books, I read a lot of sci-fi. I just read the Eragon book a few weeks ago and am looking forward to reading the second one. I also find myself reading what ever my 2 teenage DS are reading, it gives us stuff to talk about and have in common.

I've read several books this summer. The three summer reading books I have to read are: Rebecca, Fahrenheit 451, and Thorn Birds. I've read F 451 already. I'm currently reading Thorn Birds.

its an epidemic people! read this book! its just going to get worse, with phones that download pics, vids etc. if you think the female image on magazines corrupts our daughters self preception of worth and vanity, wait till you read the studies about what Porn does to men. ever wonder why there are so many "ED" pills on the market?

Right now, I'm midway through Kushiel's Justice by Jacqueline Carey.

I'm into the classics lately (between murder mysteries!) so right now I'm part way through Sense and Sensibility. Not a bad book if you like that sort of thing.

Eldest was even better than Eragon, IMHO. I am upset that I have to wait until next year for the third one. I'm even more upset that the Eragon movie was so poor and did horrible justice to the book.

Have you read Pride & Prejudice? I loved that book.

Yes, it is an epidemic. It's a dangerous addiction that destroys the lives of so many people. But, not many people will tell you that. :(

I'm just starting "The Bourne Betrayal" - haven't read any of this series in a long time, so I don 't know how good it will be.

I used to have all the EU Star Wars books but over the years, I've sold them off to a second hand store. Now, I only have a dozen or so. But since the prequels came out and made just about everything in the EU books invalid... it's not quite as fun to read them for their theories on the Clone Wars, etc.

Ok, showing my geeky side.

And the latest series of SW EU paperbacks with Jacen Solo... horrid. :?

I did read it, and loved it. I tried it in early high school and just couldn't get through it, but after seeing the movie (and actually enjoying it) I decided to try it again. I find the parallels to today's world so amusing! And Mr. Darcy is so charming in his awkward way...

If you like sci-fi that's campy and a bit off the wall, I'd try the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. Bizarre, but I found them quite amusing! Doesn't look like it quite matches your list, but that's about as sci-fi as I get!
