I have read the "Kingdom Keepers" series by Ridley Pearson. While it is aimed at teen and young adult readers, it is a very exciting Disney World inspired series between a group of kids who fight to Save Disney World from the evil Disney Villains led by non other than Maleficent. I found the series very entertaining.

I've enjoyed that series too. Looking forward to a sequel to "The Return"...grr cliffhanger endings.

After renewing it repeatedly from the library I finally made it a priority to finish "The Story of Owen: Dragon Slayer of Trondheim" by E.K. Johnston. It's something I probably never would have picked up if I didn't know the author (shhh don't tell her it took me so long to finish it. It wasn't the book, honestly I just haven't been reading anything lately), but it was an interesting story with some wonderful twists on history (particularly that of Ontario and Michigan). It also doesn't require a strong interest in the fantasy genre to love the characters and story. It's marketed as a young adult novel, but worth a look even if you fall outside that group.

Just read this one on your recommendation - really enjoyed it. There were some good lessons in there - the two I particularly latched onto were 1. Instead of saying "no because" always say "yes, but!" 2. Have a mix of wise experienced ppl and youthfully exuberant ppl and put them all together

Thanks for the suggestion!

You're welcome. "Yes, but..." is one of the things I learned and have been trying to apply at work. Unfortunately, I'm still finding it hard to get out of the "no, because" mind set. Hope you have better luck! Glad you enjoyed the book :)

I just spent a wonderful hour at the gym finishing "Disney Mountains: Imagineering at its Peak" while listening to the Frontierland subsonic channel. A perfect soundtrack while reading about the creation process of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

It was a really enjoyable read covering the Matterhorn through to Expedition Everest. Shorter sections on the water parks and international parks mountains were included as well. A very interesting read!

Slightly Disney related, I read Steve Jobs by Waler Isaacson. It is a pretty realistic portrait, and it show the good and the bad about his character, but it is a very good (albeit long) read.

Oh that was a good read. Totally interesting. And strange.

I just read "All The Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr. A bit of magic, a bit of history, good characters, a bit of mystery. About interrelated characters in an occupied coastal French town in WWII. It was very satisfying.

I just finished the last of the "The Return" series. Likely the conclusion of the Kingdom Keepers books. It had me worried there for a while, but I was happy with the way it turned out. It was an enjoyable read, recommended if you've read the rest of the Kingdom Keepers books.

Disney related in that Phil Collins was responsible for soundtracks in the early aughts.... Not Dead Yet was pretty good if you're a fan of him or Genesis.

In preparation for what I thought was the movie's release I re-read my favorite book, READY PLAYER ONE then my friends told me the release was pushed so I just started Kingdom Keepers on audiobook

A little flashback novel, I've recently dug into "The Da Vinci Code," I wasn't able to read it before and just borrowed one from a friend. It's an interesting read, controversial, nonetheless, but great overall.

After "The Da Vinci Code," I was able to get my hands on another great Dan Brown novel. "Inferno" is equally good in my opinion, and it is a must-read for those thrilling weekend novels. :)
