they sign-up to request songs though you would need to post to request anything big

I know what you mean. But in this case, you sign up to be able to make song requests on the system. I am guessing many people sign up to make requests and never venture to the forums.

I would have had a seperate sign in system but that would be annoying for people who post to sign in twice.
Perhaps I should make an ad to put into the stream to "Join the community in the forums, you lurkers!"

Voice your opinion! Unless it's vulgar or you're picking on certain people, I don't really see why we'd jump all over you for it. Active conversation is always welcomed.
