In my Film class...

Post by AlexLoup » May Tue 03, 2005 1:57 am

my teacher was not there again. We had a acting teacher sub, well he decided to have us act. I was a victim and the thing was a abandoned house. We had to put in references to pop culture every so often.

One of the actors went to the doors and left. We started to hear knocking.

Guy: What was that?

Me: I don't know Jim. Do I hear breathing?

Guy: Maybe.

We walk over to another door.

Me: Is that door breathing? (the guy stopped and looked at me like I was nuts, he did not know what I was talking about.)

Guy: No it's in your own mind

More poundings and now there is yelling.

Guy: What the hell?

I finally had enough.

Me: Jesus, this isn't the Corridor of Doors

(Cricket)

No one knew what I was talking about.

Now here is my question, do you know what I was refering to. It is too easy.

My immediate thought was Phil Collins' In the Air Tonight video, but Google tells me that you're referring to the Haunted Mansion. Well don't I feel sheepish?

Some one got it. I was watching to okay Haunted Mansion movie and I remembered the breathing door scene, then went to one of the sites that worshiped the ride and looked to see what part it came from. The Corridors of Doors.

The Corridor of Doors is basically the part of the ride that have the doors that are pounding and you can see creatures trying to get out. Near the end of it I think is the breathing door.
