Throw out the history books as I really don't think that is the factor. I think the major factor is overcoming the mental factors as those were two of the toughest ways to lose a game. If Boston can conquer that and bring the series to 2-1 then it may get very interesting again. If it goes to 3-0 I would say it's a couple of nails in the coffin.

The thing I really think you need to watch is Boston's performance in the first period of game three. They need to come out fired up and attempt to make the statement, especially on home ice. If Boston can't get early momentum it might be tough for them to gain any late in the game against this Vancouver team.

I don't think effort for the B's will be an issue in game 3. Especially in the first period. They are home, the crowd will be pumped and will give them the adrenaline rush they need. They are also desperate. I will be more interested to see how long they can sustain that level.

If they come flat for this (the first SCF game in Boston since 1990) then shame on them. Even if they were up 2-0 they should come out flying for this.

Yes I do. I'm seriously wondering how anybody is going to win on the road in this series. Boston has done a great job of keeping d-men at the net the past two games which IMO has been a big key to shutting down Vancouver. No second chances are being allowed so Thomas can either cover up or clear out the puck. It also is a bad time to have a goalie lose confidence with Luongo giving up way to many goals. Is he back to how he was in the series against the Blackhawks?
