not a fan of anime, although I do like Kingdom Hearts. I beat the first game in about 30 - 35 hours. I'm at the end of the GBA game (Chain of Memories), and am anxiously waiting for KH2 to be released some time in the next year.

I watched my brother play KH, and I considered myself a player of the game because I know alot of the game.Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:Huge anime fan here, but not so much a videogame fan. I've watched people play Kingdom Hearts though, does that count? I also can't wait for KH2, just cuz of the mix of Disney and FF!!
If you are interested, there is a KH manga(Comic) floating around the internet.

It sounds weird, but I like watching people play video games. It's sort of like watching a movie, except when you die...and die and so on.AlexLoup wrote:I watched my brother play KH, and I considered myself a player of the game because I know alot of the game.Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:Huge anime fan here, but not so much a videogame fan. Yes! Wow, I didn't think anyone but me and a friend did that. I think of myself as a pseudo-gamer. I know a lot about games because I watch them being played, and I watch X-Play. I also like finding out about characters and things like that.
RPGs are my favorite to "play."

Excatly... I don't have the capacity to play RPGs, it's mostly taken up by college, Disney, Anime, Movies, and my new job. But I like to watch others, I just watched a friend do Resident Evil 4.
And because I am a Disney fan I get picked on by may VG, Vampires, and Anime obbessed friends.

Resident Evil 4 just won some best video game ever award on some poll. I'm not sure which one, but yeah. I haven't seen actual gameplay, but from the previews it looks awesome. Claire Redfield is one of my favorite video game characters ever.AlexLoup wrote:Excatly... Yeah, I love Disney and anime, and cannot stand it when anime fans diss Disney. I remember I got into an argument on an anime forum because some people were trying to compare the Disney style and anime style.
But luckily my friends that enjoy anime also like Disney, so it's all good.

I hear ya! Your friends say it's "too clean"- that's interesting. But it helps to think in terms of target audience.AlexLoup wrote:My friends don't like Disney because it's "too clean" and the whole Disney thing is blah, blah, blah. If it wasn't for Disney there would not be Anime.
The argument I usually get is that Disney cartoons suck and anime is teh kewl, or that Disney copies anime. I hate that.

There is only one friend that I can talk to about Disney, but she is a big bragger and it's hard to talk about Disney with her without going into one of her:
"When I went to DisneyLand for Grad Nite, we had a DVD player and I had over fifty movies." So I don't talk about Disney that much.
