I'm poor, so neither :( If I had the money for such fancy things I would save it for a trip to Disney anyhow ~ does that make me a nut?

I don't have either one, but if I had to choose, it would be XM. They have all the baseball channels.

Yes, they're merged but there are still different channel offerings out there depending on which one you sign with...at least that's the impression I'm under. (We looked into it briefly when one of the cars we were looking at was satellite radio ready)

I used to have XM just for the baseball. Now I can get it on the phone through an app. And I can choose which broadcast I want to listen to.

I have XM since it came built into the car. The only reason we still have it is that we got a great deal on our subscription renewal. There is really no difference now between Sirius and XM since the merger. However, they do still have some separation: Opie/Anthony vs. Howard Stern, Professional sports, and the order in which the stations are classified.

If I did a lot of travel I would go with Sat radio. I don't see the value if I'm just around town.

My DW gave me an XM radio for Christmas about 5 years ago. I'm totally hooked :D . I actually have the "car" kit in the airplane I fly for work. Before XM I had to re-tune FM stations about every 20 minutes because I would have flown beyond the station range. Now, I set it on a channel I like and go all day!

The merger didn't bother me (much). I did like the XM philosophy of "no DJ talking over the music" better than the current "FM jock" style. A few of my favorite channels left, but some great new ones appeared (Margaritaville!).

Did anyone else lock in the Lifetime plan when they offered it before the merger?
No really, see? It's a screwdriver and it's... sonic

I have neither since I don't drive and/or have a car but my best friend has XM and we use it often when we check traffic, listen to comedy shows or whenever the radio itself is boring.

Neither at the moment, but I plan on getting XM when I can afford it. I compared the channel listings of both and like what XM offers better...
