I only do the yahoo online brackets. I honestly prefer to only do this for fun. I really don't care to gamble on any of this or pay into anything.

I don't gamble, but just for fun I'm rooting for Purdue to support Boilerbabe and Boilerdude!

Reminder to everybody to get your picks in. The tournament starts tomorrow and your picks will lock in and you will not be able to edit your brackets. I hope to reign over all once again. I have all my picks completed. I put in a lot of research and I really hope it pays off.

As they say, let the games begin!

Well after Day 1, I nearly threw out my brackets only to realize I am not that bad shape. My breakdown as to what happened today:

Started out amazing with the Old Dominion upset over Notre Dame and Florida falling out early in the first round, as expected (Sorry Jacca!). Then it got scary with Villanova and saddening with Murray St. over Vanderbuilt. I think Georgetown was a very over rated team, but I really thought they would be able to get over the first round. The Marquette/Washington was another surprise to me. After all that, the 8/9 games were amazing to watch and were favorable endings for me. The 7/10's not so much.

When all is said and done, I somehow am in first after today. I also still have my sweet 16 untouched and I really hope that lasts through tomorrow. It has been a crazy torunament and this was only day 1. There is another day of 16 games and then a weekend with 8 games a day. The upsets have been numerous and somehow I think that trend will continue. My brackets are also hoping for some more upsets in the coming day. Enjoy the games tomorrow!

Congrats on being #1 Len! I am #3! I can't believe I am not at the bottom of the list already. I was hoping Florida would do better and I thought Notre Dame could pull out at least one win?! Oh well, on to the next games...

I have 1 other bracket and I am 1 point better on that one...woo hoo!

There are so many variables in these games and I never know which way to go with some of these teams. I really thought UNLV would get through the first round and then get whippwd by Kansas...my heart sank when No. Iowa made that 3 point basket in the final seconds of the game...

Oh well...we'll be a better team next year!
