Your name in TV/Movie credits

I recorded a few episodes of Caprica (prequel series of the most recent Battlestar Galactica) on SyFy and noticed my name as an executive producer in the credits at the beginning of an episode or two. I've also noticed my name in the end credits of at least one of the Matrix movies. Got me to wondering, am I the only one who sees (or even intentionally looks) for my name in TV and movie credits?

My last name is too uncommon for that to happen.

That's pretty cool MadEye! I've never seen my name in any credits, nor do I think I ever will. I don't think DH will either, we don't have very common names.

As uncommon as I thought the combination of my first and last name would be, it turned out there's a doctor in Tampa and a professor in Bowling Green that have it too. But so far, I have never seen it in any TV or movie credits (although I have shared my last name with two characters in different movies).

I don't think I will ever see my name in the credits, But one of the students I used to teach at the preschool/daycare has been in several movies and shows. When his mother moved to CA so her 4 year old could be a movie star I thought she was playing a long shot (really long) but I know see him all over the place. Crazy

I haven't noticed my name in movie/tv show credits but I just found out that I am apparently a MMA fighter... cool. I hope my old high school buddies think that's really me.

If you have a more uncommon name, you can also search imdb.com just to check. My maiden name was fairly uncommon and while my married name is very common, ours is spelled differently than usual, so that makes it uncommon too. I don't pull up anything with my maiden name, but with my married name I was on America's Test Kitchen.

I haven't seen my name in movie credits. Although I am a deceased Pulitzer Prize winning photagrapher who had an academy award nominated documentary made about my death and a former Florida Gator DE who had a fairly productive NFL career for several teams most recently Tampa Bay.
