Actually, have you ever thought it could be caused by the "User Acceptance Testing"? I know I'm going through it right now, and there's been nothing else that has caused more gut-wrenching pain and headaches than our User Acceptance Testing (UAT). I'm surprised they haven't been handing out bottles of anti-acid and ibuprofen during our UAT.

Then again, they do consume boat loads of chocolate during the UAT too...

I'm so sorry to hear that term is more universal than I thought...

UAT = User Acceptance Testing

When installing any major software system in a corporation, the final phase before flipping the on switch is to go through UAT (User Acceptance Testing) in order to verify the system as designed and programmed does function correctly and will work upon "go-live".

Mouseoholic, I'm so glad you're feeling better! Continued pixie dust and prayers are being sent your way in hopes of finding the true source of pain...

...though I think I agree with mindflipper...nothing says "pain" like a good ol' UAT

I'm so glad you're feeling better Mouseoholic! You're still in our thoughts and prayers. I hope once things calm down at work, you can find out what really caused all of your pain.

Be patient, Mouskecouple. The whole process with docs and tests can wear you down. Don't give up or give in.

Timely advice. The fact is, while my Mouse may in fact be feeling a little better, we still don't know for sure what the problem is, and I'm not real happy about her not pursuing it further. She is so worn out by all the stress that she is almost in a mode of putting her head in the sand and not wanting to think about it. She says work has her so busy that she can't even think about more doctors and tests right now, but I suspect it may really be a touch of "doctor burnout." I know she really is busy, but I still think she should push for more tests to find out what it really is. It may be something more serious that's just lying dormant for the moment, but could return with a vengeance. If she were to have another attack like the first one, say for example while she is driving, it could be disastrous.

Thanks, everyone, for the well-wishes. Please send "go-see-another-doctor" pixie dust to help me convince her that she needs to find a solid answer, not just pretend nothing is wrong anymore just because the worst pain has gone away.

(she's gonna kill me if/when she sees this post, but what can I say? I'm a rebel.... and I don't want to lose her... )

I'd make my DW go to see a doctor! I rather have her p*** off at me and know what is going on. You know how head strong, I am just saying. You know you guys are in my families prayers everyday!! It comes down to, you have to make her go!!! I know (In my best Cajun)"you can do it!" Like I told you, if you need to talk you know how!

We have a friend who ignored her body telling her she had something going on....We found out to day that it is really bad! Please catch it early We love talking to you here!!! You brighten our days!!!

Thanks, guys (and gals).
I'll definitely encourage her to put this at the top of her list. She has just not been feeling herself ever since the big episode, so I know she needs to look into it. She's a real go-getter, though, and likes to have a positive attitude, so I don't know if she is just trying to ignore this or what. It's hard for me to tell because I have to go on what she tells me about how she feels, but I can tell she's not really herself. GRRRR....!
