Hey all you baseball fans!
The time for winter meetings is here...
Has anyone heard about any big trades/free agent signings?
Bad news for the Angels, I heard that Chone Figgins signed a deal with the Mariners.

We're gonna miss him dearly!
Still waiting to see what happens with John Lackey....

Ooh, you and my DH would have a healthy competition....he's from Chicago and a Cubbies fan! Lucky for you, he doesn't post on the boards

(in fact, he's hardly on this site anymore anyway...I'm the weirdo of the family I guess)

I haven't heard anything yet. Have the Braves traded any pitching?

Not that I know of...yet
I heard that they are looking to trade Rafael Soriano.

Looks like my Mets have just one priority and that is trying to get Bengie Molina. Definitely not the answer to what the team needs. They still need pitching and YOUTH!!!
Yankees got Granderson.... So it looks like Johnny Damon or Hideki Matsui will not be coming back in the spring. My educated guess is that Damon will remain a Yankee when all is said and done.

Yeah, I saw that too...then had a chuckle...Jose is a Yankee...hmmm...now, where could Yadier go close by? (yeah right, I don't think St. Louis is getting rid of Yadier anytime soon!)

Did the Braves trade Rafael Soriano to the Rays? Does anybody know anything about Chavez?

Yep, I just saw that.
I also saw that the White Sox added J.J Putz, the Brewers added Randy Wolf, the Yankees added Curtis Granderson and the Rangers added Rich Harden.
And it's just the beginning...

It gonna start looking like musical chairs. Remember when players stayed on a team for life? I think that makes me old?

Yep, I still get a warm fuzzy whenever there is a player who played for the same team his whole career. I had hoped that Garret Anderson would be one of those...but the Angels didn't re-sign him and just like that he went to Atlanta. Now you guys have him and we still miss good ol' G.A. even though he was plagued by injuries.

Could you imagine what the MICK would get in this market?

Here is some pretty good reading on a team by team basis. It's interesting!

Are the Braves the official WDW team?
