Too early for Christmas carols! I went to Kohls today and they were already playing them. For heaven's sakes, we just finished Halloween!

The Christmas season starts right after Halloween. It's always like that. All stores I go to already have Christmas items out while some had a row out as early as last month.

I know. I miss the good old days where Christmas started the day after Thanksgiving. I'm on holiday overload!

Chattanooga has had a radio station playing Christmas music since mid October! It's starting earlier and earlier!

Are you kidding? If the stores could start the Christmas Season on Labor Day, they would!!! Then, the next thing you know, they'll move it up to the 4th of July...
...then eventually, New Year's Day!

They think because they put out decorations earlier we're gonna start shopping earlier. I refuse to start shopping before the day after Thanksgiving. I used to Christmas shop in August, no more!!

Just wait until Black Friday. I would much rather do my Christmas shopping now instead of when it gets insane.

You don't like full contact combat shopping?

I've heard from enough of my friends saying how insane it is to shop on that morning/day. I don't want to be crazy and go attack the crowds with a purse and wallet.

Anything Christmas before Thanksgiving just seems out of place.

I think Madison Avenue would call you "old school."

More time for shopping means more shopping. People have more time when they keep thinking about that "one more gift" they need to get for a friend or family member.
Wait until after Thanksgiving means less of: $$$.

My family and I have done "token" gifts for Christmas for alot of years now. I think it's sad that people have forgotten the real meaning of the holiday.

It's so commercialized now.

That is my favorite shopping day. I love going to the stores in the early afternoon after the war has taken place and just enjoy the hustle and bustle of people frantically shopping.
As for being too early, they already started setting up the lot that sells christmas trees today.
