I'm really not trying to be a "nudge" here, but today I felt pretty unwelcome today in chat. I joined SSR in June, yeah pretty late for a 47 yr old that lived in SoCal for more than 40 years. Honestly, I shouldn't be crying at this point feeling like an outcast, but that's exactly how I feel. I won't go on, but maybe a forum for "Rants" would be in order. I've belonged to many boards since about 1997, and today I felt I was chastised as a child. Sure I've forgotten a lot of things, but I NEVER complained about anything. I apologized for my "complaint" more than once. If there was a pvt email I could speak to someone it would be great. Again....I apologize for asking for the wrong weather forecast. You guys all do a phenomenol job, but please....please, don't make the people that come to chat feel like crap for not knowing everything you do. I've been so busy at work I haven't had time to monitor the chat. I agree, some people do act childish and are not welcoming to new people. I HATE that. Who you callin' Slow?!?!?! Truly it does get slow when I first got on today it was basically dead, but seems to be picking up slowly now.

I am so sorry you had this happen.

I've been in chat several times, I am by no means a regular participant. I have never seen anyone say anything to make someone feel unwelcome. Several of the people that are there regular like, become friends and they do "tease" each other, but in a nice, friendly way.

(it can't be the wrong weather just not the weather you were after. Just keep guessing wildly until someone helps out.)

I turned up in chat not knowing all the fancy things you have to type in...or what all the fancy clicky button things do. Did everyone laugh and make fun of me? Darn right they did.

They also explained where I was going wrong/right.

Ask they shall explain..then try..they will generally make sure you are OK.
They may also poke fun..please don't take it seriously.

Feel free to hit back. However most of the guys are IT nerds (you can quote me on that ) and they all seem to type like demons with 50 fingers.
I can't keep up.

Perhaps a helpful page of what to type to make things work would help.

I would do this if I knew what all the commands were, however I don't I did make up a list but can't remember where I put it. Mid 40s senility
