That's cool. About twenty years ago, my mother's aunt traveled all over America and Europe to track my mom's side of the family. I have the book she compiled and in is the deed and bill of sale from the original family homestead. I think that is kinda cool. Would love to take a trip someday to Jersey to visit it. Here is an article about it.

ever hear the term "Scorched Earth" policy or the quote "War is hell"? what about the burning of Atlanta as seen in the final scene of Gone with the Wind? if not, I'm sure you've heard of the March to the Sea... anyways, what I've getting at is this: I'm related to William Tecumseh Sherman. he's a great great great Uncle. and, as such, I am also distantly related to Roger Sherman who is the only person to sign all four great state papers of the U.S.: the Articles of Association, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution and is one of the original Founding Fathers of the USA. I'm not sure exactly how distantly related or what relation (uncle, cousin, grandfather, etc) I am to him, however...

Awesome!!

I'm descended from William Clark (AKA Lewis and Clark). My great-grandmother's great aunt or something like that. My mom knows, but I'm not gonna ask at the moment.

That is neat! My son's best friend at school's parents are cousins of Abraham Lincoln. My son wouldn't believe it and he had him mom tell him that it is true.

I'm not really proud of my family history honestly :( My grandfather was the gambling boss in downtown Chicago and was one of Capones drivers for a while I believe. I guess the good side is my dad got to meet a lot of cool people and get signatures and pictures with them. :)

I'm related to Hazel Court. She's my Grandpa's cousin. You can see her if you go to Sci-Fi at Hollywood Studios. She was in Devil Girl from Mars. She just passes away earlier this year.

unfortunately for me, any memorobilia that may exist is in the hands of other reletives whom I have never met (or met when I was very young so I don't remember them).
