My sister lives in San Diego and said she was real shaken. Her whole house moved. It's the strongest quake she's felt in her 20 years there. She's OK, just rattled.

Yikes it is really getting scary with all the seismic activity. I am hoping that the "big one" in California is still far off and won't happen. Glad that you are alright Ms. Swann and DLR followed protocol and got through it without any issues.

I'm glad to hear that everyone is alright! We felt it in Vegas too...sitting at the kitchen table playing cards and the windchimes were moving but there was no draft. The chandelier was moving as well as the vertical blinds. Mom and I looked at each other and said earthquake, but we didn't feel shaking. It was the first time DH ever "experienced" an earthquake...even though we didn't feel anything.

Earthquake kit is very similar to what we living here on the East Coast/Gulf Coast have for hurricane kits. It may be better to call them "Disaster Recovery Kits". There are seperate and more detailed lists you can find for pet hurricane kits. Also check out the Red Cross. They usually have a very detailed list you can use to build your own kit.
