Two years in a row?

For those of you who watch Miss Universe, what is up with the representative from the USA? The contestant for 2007 AND 2008 (different women) both fell during the competition. What is up with that? I mean okay, it was cute on Miss Congeniality, but in real life it is just pathetic. I just wanted to put this out there. I am shocked.

I never watch those pagents but I know my mom and grandmother do. I think it's a little sad to know that those representing the USA don't have balance or grace or whatnot. I thought that's what their practice and training were about? Not falling?

I didn't see the pageant (not my thing) but I saw it on the news. At first I was like "Whoops... poor thing", then I realized it was the second year in a row. Kind of weird.

I wonder if her 'handler' or whatever backstage was really making a big deal of "Don't fall don't fall don't fall" and psyched her out?

I'd compare shoes maybe? Both were wearing very high heels, do all participants do that?

I think they are getting their shoes from China...who has a deal with Venezuala to sabatoge the Americans from winning the pageant.

lesson: buy american made shoes. (yes their ugly and expensive...but you won't fall)
