Haunted Mansion - Grim Grinning Ghosts

In the Disneyland Haunted Mansion graveyard scene, there's a section of Grim Grinning Ghosts that is sung by a woman with what sounds a bit like a Cockney British accent. Anyone know where in the ride that portion comes from, or what character in the graveyard sings that part?

There's also another section of the song, I think it comes after the section above, where the song is sung in a monotone voice for a long time. Anyone know where that's from?

Perhaps they're both small parts that aren't really noticed during the ride because there's so much other stuff going on.

hmm, i never really thought about who's singing what part until now. when listening to the song, it's very noticeable. i like that dead british lady's part....the monotone voice not so much.

is it the voice that sounds like Eva Gabor's character in Green Acres (the TV show)? Cause she's in the WDW version too. I have a feeling it's like the Bride from the Attic or one of the 2 or 3 women in the Graveyard...

Yes, that's the one! I just never noticed it while on the ride. Everytime I hear that, I try to figure out where it's from and I just have no clue.

As for the monotone section, it seems to go on forever!

the voice isn't there for a long time. Only a line or two in the song...I think it's while in the graveyard scene where there's alot to see and that's why you never noticed it.

Well, I kind of figured out the monotone part. Not sure exactly who is singing it, but it apparently runs behind the main vocals in the latter half of the graveyard scene. You can hear it in the 4th Week of the "12 Weeks of Magic" program.

Sub, cool peoplemover!

After I made this my avatar, I was wondering if I had seen someone else using this as their avatar and it subconsciously gave me the idea to use it as mine. Either that, or I've been thinking about doing it long enough that it made me think that I'd seen it before.

I like it because the guy is waving. Sort of makes it look like that's me, riding the peoplemover.

Now that's cool. My Soarin billboard is the actual billboard they had out in front of THE LAND at Epcot during construction of the ride. Shot it with a digital camera.

It belongs to The Queen in the teeter totter bit in the graveyard.

The monotone voice has to be one of the hitchiking ghosts.
