Talk about car karma

I can't believe what's going on in my life right now. On Saturday night, I was sitting in my parked car when someone decided it would be a good idea to reverse into it. I didn't notice the car coming towards my front fender since I was reading something but now I am at the mercy of my coworkers to bring me to work. Then 2 days later, my husbands transmission blows up! Did we do something to anger the car Gods? Have we upset some kind of car cosmic power that's taking it's revenge on us?

Wow..I thought it was just me. last week we took our truck in for a tune-up. it has been sitting for 6 months. the day we took it in my wifes Montero overheats simple thermostat replacement ($200 ouch!) we had to rent a car for a couple of days. When i drop the rental car off my wife pulls up and her vehicle sounds like a jet....the mechanics cant figure out what the "new" noise is...but they want to change the timing belt (hmm..i just replaced this last year.) at a cost of $1120. meanwhile i get my truck back and it now stalls out when i stop at lights. (hey is that normal for a tune up?) two different dealerships two nice problems. oh did i mention we have Special Olympics on Thursday and need to drive 170 miles....hope one of them is fixed by then. ugh!

truck should be fixed today...montero friday.....blaming sleeping beauty 5 for the problem. laugh

Thanks for the sentiments! At least the insurance gave me a rental so now I can travel freely until my car's fixed. Croaker, that's some wicked bad car karma. I hope that you make it to the Special Olympics tomorrow! It may be worth investing the $50 in AAA.

Can't say I'm surprised that some moron backed into you. Being from Mass. you kind of get used to about anything on the road. Or in a parking lot....
