A word that invokes either excitement or sheer terror.

What does everyone think about snow?
We had our first flurry today

(stupid global warming is making winter begin later and later). I think watching snow fall is really peaceful and helps the seasonal atmosphere because all the familiar things in the town look different and magical, if you will, for the holidays. I could never live in a region without snow. However, after new years, I've usually had enough.

We live in NW Indiana, right near Chicago. We had some ice/snow yesterday! I think it's peaceful to watch if I don't have to go out into it! I like a dusting of snow for Christmas, then I've had about enough!!!

For me snow is welcome when ever it falls. It is one of those things that you can't control so why not enjoy it while it's here. It is so pretty when it is falling and I love how quiet it is outside after a good snow fall.

I hate snow. Living in the Buffalo, NY area, we get our fair share of it, which is more than we like in a typical year (when you have to dig tunnels to get out of the house, it's too much).

I'm with you disneylandmom. I'm all about the snow over here. When had an insignificant dusting yesterday but it was still quiet and calm during the actual snowing. When I'm outside in the snow I'm really at peace and can think more clearly.

You all can have the snow. I'll take it around Christmas and go visit it.

Just remember it's easy to get into but hard to get out of!

I like snow best in December. By January it starts to get a little old and by April I'm seriously ready for spring.
It snowed about 5 inches here over the weekend. Everything looks so pretty!

the only good thing about snow is snuggling up inside with that special someone, a nice fire going and a movie on in the background. unfortunately, though, it's been (and for the foreseeable future, going to be) a cold winter...

Southern CA native here. BUT I did grow up in the mountains where we had snow every year. Because of the mountainous and windy roads, they had to call school a lot and we had two full weeks built into our school schedule for snow day make up. Anyway, it usually didn't start snowing until after the first of the year, but I loved the snow anytime. Nothing can beat making awesome sled runs and playing Capture the Flag in the snow, etc. So much fun. It was even worth having the shovel!

O.K. we're getting hit with snow as I type this! It was a pain to dive home in, thank goodness for 4 wheel drive. The snow can stop now! I wish I could escape to WDW!

Please keep that snow storm in the North! We had flurries here today and that's enough to scare people into making a run on milk, bread and toilet paper at the grocery store!

Grew up in Ohio, but now live in Georgia....people down here don't know what snow is! They run to the store for bread and milk when they say possible snow or ice! They cancel school for a threat! Dh and I just laugh at it. BTW, going home for Christmas, and dd has not been in cold and snow...she is in for a rude awakening! Althought I do hope she can get out and play in it...capture the flag...yes I remember that! Snowball fights and forts, snowmen...ah...the memories!
Glad I only have to have a light winter coat now! No snow boots, snow tires, shovels, or window brushes, slush, and dirty snow! I don't miss that!
