I've brought this movie up elsewhere and thought it deserved it's own thread. Here's where you can find the official site.

I'm still wondering about this one. I do enjoy Indiana Jones movies, but Harrison Ford has aged a bit. I was worried that there'd be a young woman with him, but it looks like they're bringing back the original Marion. I guess I'll wait for the reviews.

acp mentioned that the film title is similar to the ride in Tokyo. Any thoughts if there might be similarities? Is Disney even involved in the film?

Thanks for the link, first of all. I'll have to look at this tomorrow at work when I have the sound on (sound is so lousy on my laptop, it's not really worth it to try now :p).

I'm guessing this movie is going to have something to do with finding the (forgot how many) Crystal Skulls that would predict the end of the world. I think that's also roughly what the Tokyo DisneySea ride is based on. It's the temple that holds one of the skulls. (I think they were Mayan or Aztec or something)

I skimmed through a book about how the skulls would predict the end of the world once they were brought together and all that nonsense... but all I can remember is that the supposed date was 2012. I remember thinking someone could make a really cool movie about it. lol.

there was a History Channel special about the End of the World on just the other day. They didn't mention anything about crystal skulls, but they did give the exact date that many different cultures felt was the end of days. December 21, 2012. 4 days before Christmas... what a downer...

anyways, I hope Harrison doesn't break a hip or anything while making this movie. in Firewall, he was starting to really show his age. looked like he was hobbling a little in a couple of scenes.

Good Morning America had the trailer preview today...I can't wait till it's out. I loved the others and this one sounds good. Did not know anything about the crystal skulls..thanks cheschire cat. They also said the stars of the movie will be on. They did say Harrison Ford did more stunts than on the other movies...and it took more out of him, of course he is older now.

I just saw the teaser trailer on Yahoo and it looks pretty good. I'm glad that they're bringing back Karen Allen. I loved her as Marion.

I can't wait. Just hearing the music while watching the trailer got me excited for this movie to come out. And, as a Harrison Ford fan, I think he looks pretty good. From the trailer, it looks like they may use his age as a punchline.

Probably worth seeing in the theatre. Spielberg and Ford are a pretty good team, even if (by chance) the story sucks.

Head back to the official site (at the top of the thread) to see the trailer if you haven't yet. It looks like they're keeping it similar to the old movies and playing on Indy's age. Can't wait!

By the way, can Disney advertise for this at all in Disneyland? I know it's not a Disney film, but it would be a great tie in with the Indy ride.

I've been concerned that Harrison being a little (okay a lot) older than last time would be an issue, but he's lookin' pretty good in the trailer. The rest of the trailer looked good too. ;)

I'm excited!
