For those of us in the US & Canada, Happy Labor Day!

Yup had the day off and spent it working :(

Well it was consulting, side work.

Oh well... workaholics don't like holidays anyway :)

No work for us today - our kids start school tomorrow and summer is officially over. We just closed down the pool at our swim club for the season. :( We also hit Busch Gardens in Willamsburg this weekend. Fun times, summer is over way too fast.

had the day off and spent it relaxing. I've done nothing all day but lie around in bed watching TV or reading.

Spent the day outside playing sports and such. Then two barbecues. I'm really full and feel gross, lol.

Mom and I had a "boring" weekend, spent trying to use Mongolian BBQ coupons (but that had yucky soup all weekend that kept us from going). Sat around, watched TV, played online... nothing exciting here.

Wife and I went up to Mendocino on Friday. Our friend's parents have this gorgeous beach house up there right on the coast, massive place. Anyway, like 20 minutes before we get there, he proposes to his girlfriend, which, while my wife and I weren't surprised per se, we didn't think he'd do this weekend, away with us!

So the next two days were celebratory, spent in and around Mendocino and Fort Bragg (which, if you're a northern Californian, you ought to know just how pretty that part of the state can be!)... had some awesome seafood, and while the girls went and had spa treatments on Saturday, Nate and I sat around watching Virginia Tech (good game vs. ECU), Notre Dame (umm... ow.), a little Oklahoma State/Georgia action, and of course, the big event of the day (for us, the girls got massages!), Cal vs. Tennessee (this is Bear Territory!!)...

Had a great time, came home Sunday, only took 3 hours (to go 170 miles through windiness and forests and wine country and stuff), and I had to work (side project) the rest of Sunday and most of Monday.

So yeah, good weekend.

I helped my wife get the final touches in our her classroom before the school year starts (today!), and just spent the rest of the time relaxing / playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for the Gamecube (highly suggested).

Had the whole weekend off, thanks to some vacation time, and spent the day (and the rest of the vacation) at Dragon*con. Unfortunately I spent the night nursing the early stages of the cold I now have. Stupid germs.

That's a cool coincidence. Hopefully it wasn't as hot and humid for you as it was here (104 in San Diego is like blistering hot, we're spoiled). it's actually kind of fun getting everything set up and re-visiting your elementary school days. I love going through all of the books and picking out ones that I used to read.
