This strikes a chord with me because a guy around the corner from me just had an accident with his illegal fireworks. he was setting the darn things off for about 5 nights in a row then on the fifth night one didn't go off and he went to investigate, not a good idea for anyone to do seriously, and thats when it decided to explode.

Oh no!! How seriously was he hurt? I hope he's ok AND learned an important lesson.

He'll live. Let's just say he won't be back to work as a Philadelphia Police Officer. Don't feel too bad for him the guy is an ***. He parks his car illegally everyday, right on the corner blocking the handicap ramps on the sidewalks (yes we have them on every sidewalk). He also comes walks his dog around the neighborhood and lets the dog do its business anywhere it wants and he doesn't pick it up. I confronted him one day about it and he told me to "**** off I'm a cop". He also has parties that go well into the morning, I'm talking about 8pm - 7am, and they all drive home after a heavy night of drinking.
At the very least I hope he learned a little humility.
