And with that the Bob Barker era was over. Man, what a bum day. Not sure who all out there grew up on Plinko but it was kind of sad watching the last show of The Price is Right today. I know, they'll find some other host but come on, no one can do it like Bob. Remember how many years it took them to replace Rod Roddy?

How many college students out there can't say they didn't find a TV some mornings just to tune in? Our student union had some TVs and odds were on at least one was tuned into Bob and Rod and we all became a bit smarter on what to pay for dining room furniture, pianos, and of course - new cars!

Thanks for the memories Bob!

One of my great friends won both prizes on The Clock Game on TPIR back in college. Tell me what a college kid needs with a Grandfather Clock - but I know she's glad to have it now!

Fun memories.

Man that was the one show that you could count on when you were home sick.......I know I always watched it when I was sick from school, work, etc. My favorite game was always Plinko, and they played it last night, yay. I really hope they don't get Rosie O'Donnell to replace Bob, I heard that on one of the news programs that talked about it. I would hate that so much, I would never watch the show again.

But good luck in retirement Bob!!!!!

Barker won an Emmy last night, and when closing his speech, he added "Remember... have your pets spayed or neutered!" before walking off.

And Bruce Wayne aka Batman said I was newutered! Price Right won't be same, that's for sure.

I forgot to add that Bruce Wayne was the 2007 Calendar dog for the Michigan Humane Society. Our dog is on the front cover! Raising money to help the MI Humane Society.

I have always loved TPIR. When I was little, I watched it everyday before going to nursery school. I was devastated when I started full day kindergarten and could no longer watch it everyday. And I've always loved Plinko!

Awhile back, they were doing the TPIR stage show in Atlantic City and they had the Plinko board out for promotions. I got to touch the Plinko board and Plinko chips. I have a picture of me grinning like an idiot in front of it.

My fiance and I agree that the beginning of the end was when Rod Roddy died (who could replace him?!). Instead of trying to find a new host, I think they should just let the show end. Nobody could ever replace Bob. And I have a feeling that the show would lose viewers with a new host and ultimately get cancelled. Tis better to go out on top!

And, yes, please have your pets spayed or neutered!

Plinko was the best. Of course the only memories I have of TPIR is when I was home sick from school, but it was still an awesome show.
