Post by wdwfan » May Wed 30, 2007 10:47 am

The last two weeks i have been dealing with Bad Allergies that have been bothering me. The weather in Columbus Ohio has been dry with little or no rain. Some medicenes have worked but only a little. I hope to get over this allgergy issue soon. It's been 3 years since i have allergies this bad.

Mine where brutal this year untill I started doing a sinus rinse...

Basically rise my nasal cavity with a saline solution, once a day.

Ok it sounds gross and is kinda nasty. But it works. Been sinus headache free, and have not taken an allergy pill since I started.

Here is the rinse kit I am using.

I am sure there are other ones on the market.

Its also called a Neti Pot.

Here is a video of how to do the rinse

Sign me up... I was bad about a month ago when things started coming back to life around me.

Zicam Allergy Nasal Spary seems to work fairly well also.

Nope. I normally don't have those kinds of allergies. All I am allergic to is strawberries.

I grew up in Houston, and I didn't have allergies at all until I moved to Austin, TX when I was 18. I have had them with me ever since. However, summer allergies seem to be the worst for me. We have had SO much rain here lately, and that never does good for the allergies.

Just call me Sneezy! I'm in the same boat. Seems like I'm allergic to something that's only around this time of year...

I've always had chronic allergies. It's basically year round. Where I'm allergic to common pollen, grass, etc. I'm not allergic to poison oak or ivy, strangely. Anyway, it gets worse in the springtime, and this springtime has been the worst yet! On top of that, I live in a city that is known for having the worst causes of allergies. There's tones of male plants and not enough female plants, or something like that, so pollen flies everywhere. We're a college town and when students come, within one year they develop hayfever when they never had it before.

Uh, my allergies have been brutal off and on for about the last few weeks. And I can't even take a Benedryl because I'd be falling asleep at work.
