Playoff baseball anyone?
My Oakland A's are currently holding off the Twins in the first game of their 5-game ALDS... 2-0 after 6, even though Johan Santana has struck out 7 of our guys... and Barry Zito has walked three of theirs.
Any A's, Twins, Yankees, Tigers, Mets, Cardinals, Padres, or Dodgers fans out there want to comment on their team's chances?

Your A's may have held off my Twins for the first game spaulo, but don't expect it to be so easy next time!

What, are you kidding? You have another Johan up your sleeve? Liriano all of a sudden get healthy?
We should have no trouble whatsoever taking two games from the likes of Radke, Bonser and Silva.

Hey don't make fun of the Philadelphia A's, I mean Oakland A's. I agree with csquare77 about the Yanks not winning, now that my Phillies aren't there I will route for BASEBALL. And of course I just checked MLB.com and the A's won again they lead 2-0 in the best of 5.
I love this time of year, I always get to see either the LCS's or the Series in Disney. I can't wait it is so close. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I've always been more of a football/hockey man, myself. mainly because we don't have a MLB club, but also, I find it a bit boring.

Yeah happy to see A's and Tigers, that is a series I will enjoy. Now if the Cards can knock off the Mets I will really be paying attention to the NL.
The funny thing about the Yanks is that my friend, who hates them by the way, has world series and alcs tickets for them and he was hoping they would win so he could sell them. So it was fun watching him yell at both teams for the same reasons. "knock it out of the parks""why did you throw it there""Pull the pitcher" etc. That was highly enjoyable.

I think the Mets will make quick work of the Cards, personally... the Mets are just too well-rounded, and the Cards are just too weak in the rotation after Carpenter.
A's/Tigers will be a great series (I hope)... Notorious A's-killer Kenny Rogers (25-4 lifetime against the A's in the Coliseum) leads a frightening lineup of young pitchers (Verlander, Bonderman, Robertson, Zumaya, etc) against a surging Frank Thomas-led A's offense.
I can't wait for the first matchup of The Gambler vs. The Big Hurt in this series. Franky's gonna put one in the stands.

Gotta say I'm backing the Tigers now that the Twins choked. Always good to see the underdogs make a run for the top. So far they have done a good job of holding their own...

Two votes for the Tigers after they go up 2-0 on the A's? Real brave predictions there, folks
