Now that I have your attention, , I've been reading up on Expo 2020 which will be held in Dubai. Came across this from the "physical legacy" section for what happens to the complex after the expo ends:

I'm constantly like...what is going on in Dubai!? They come up with the craziest things with all their unlimited resources!

My ex is from Barcelona and they wanted to do a similar thing with their Olympic village, but its just sitting there being an awesome spooky abandoned ghost town taking up room

I went to Dubai once and it's pretty amazing for just the sheer scale of things.
