I see. But were we really expecting the movie to be good at all? Well at least I hope you paid matinee fee.

I can't say the fact that this movie is "bad" is anything of a revelation. The trailers looked awful.

I am a big movie fan, as you can see by my website. So I'm willing to give ANYTHING a chance. So I went in thinking it might be a fun action movie. Was I ever wrong.

You can't go to this movie and expect a Oscar worthy film. See it for what it is.

Yes but what it is is bad! It just isn't good. Even if you tried to leave your brain at the door it's bad even for that!

Did you play the Game? I read an article of it in PC Gamer that the movie is fairly true to the game and those type of gamers (me) would enjoy it more.

Well actually yes. I would also get dizzy from time to time and would have to look away from the monitor. Knowing my family, a copy of Doom will probably make it's way from Blockbuster to our living room.

Someone made an excellent comparison of these sort of movies (meaning movies the Rock has been involved in) to the movies Schwarzenegger made. Schwarzenegger's old movies (Commando, that movie with Jim Belushi, et al) were quite bad but over time we love watching them when they come on TBS on a saturday afternoon

I'm going to see Doom today. I'll give my, probably short, review tomorrow.
