I am so not wanting to work today, as you can well see by my post :D
Those HM decorations are pretty awesome. I'm feeling the same way you are about work, and I'm not sure why.

I have seen those figures in the Disney stores on Main Street. Not as cool as the pictures lead them to be. Don't get me wrong they are cool, just not as cool as they could be. I just wish they were taller, there too short.

The pics do make them look great. I would love to have the hitch hiking ghosts in my yard out by the road, but with my luck they would be stolen :x

I was wondering too if Sub was going to do his annual Haunt again this year. I was enjoying his page from the past haunts.

Yawn, time to lean my chair back and take a nap at my desk....hee hee hee

Oh for those who look for the halloween stores and can't find them Here is a very cool site that you can buy your halloween stuf at. http://www.frightcatalog.com/
My personal favorite is nightmare factory, they have a decent selection and pricing:

Sub, have you started planning for this year's haunt yet? I just saw your page, and it is very impressive. I absolutely LOVE Halloween, and even though my wife and I are in a small apartment, we have our own little graveyard out front and make sure the place is decked out for my favorite holiday. I'm not as patient as you are, and all of our stuff goes out on October 1st (with some new additions going up throughout the month, as I can't turn down halloween deco). Can't wait to see how everything comes together this year!

OK so it has been about a week since Halloween so here are a few pics of what I did this year. The last picture is a tombstone where I used Gracy's curse the font from the Haunted Mansion.

That ghoul in the brick pedestal / light pole is amazing! I imagine you got a lot of comments about that one. Did you put it together yourself, or buy a kit? The house looks great with the lighting, and the tombstone is awesome as well!

Thanks danimal3114u I work hard all year on this display.

That is one of my 4 Pillars. Two of them raise like that, and two are duds. I had them last year so I didn't get too many comments on them, I plan on more for nest year though. And Yes I did build them myself, first pillar took 4 months to do but the next one only took 3 days to build. The first one took so long because I had to figure all of the inner workings myself. I have seen them used before in other home haunts but you really can't see the inner workings as well as you would like. If you ever want to build one let me know I can show you detailed pictures if you want.

I should also mention that the First picture is last year and the rest are this year. Next year I plan a total rebuild, if I can afford it. And I also plan on eliminating that darn street light in front of the house, only temporarily (like covering it with sheet metal)

That's some cool stuff!! You built those on your own? Great work! What are your plans for Christmas? Can't wait to see them.

Yep! Since I don't actually have a front lawn (only 4-5ft out from the house, compared to 20-25ft at my parents) and the fact that that is where I started in the first place and all my measurements are based on theirs that is where I do it. Next year I plan on changing that since I will have this house mostly finished by summer (2 bedrooms and a living room to finish, the livingroom I can do while living there just can't sleep in a construction zone).

Thanks, and for christmas I won't have anything that crazy, only because I have been in the process this year of switching over to LED's and it is getting expensive, $10 per string  thats compared to $3 for the incandescents. And I just need a welder too I guess. I have been working on stuff for next year though and I will have a nice light show going on between my house and my parents, so watch for that one next year.

P.S. I guess this year coming up will be my Year Of A Million Builds

It's getting to be that time of the year again... Anyone getting ready for Halloween yet? Dr. and Sub, you guys have anything ridiculously awesome planned for this year?

I had my costume planned since May. I'd most likely go as one of the characters from Star Trek.

I'm actually not planning on dressing up at all this year... I don't even plan on dressing up as myself

I'll be dressing up as many things this year as I am an active backup for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights (meaning if they need me to fill in anywhere, that's where I'll be). If they don't need me on a certain night, I can enjoy the event free. :D
