That's funny! I took them from Knott's when I worked at Scary Farm :)
I've seen them broken open, it's nuts and bolts in a tin can. You could probably make them using soup cans:

Using one of these openers is preferred.

Put some metal pieces in it
Tape up the lid
Voila! Shaker can!

"Fright Catalog BAD" (in rock 'n' roll frankenstein voice). I've heard things about them, things I won't repeat, because I don't feel like editing them. Lets just say returns are not easy and sometimes things don't show up.

sometimes the cheapest effect is the best effect.

I have never bought anything from them and if I did I wish I wouldn't have to return anything.

And Sub
I never got a chance to get one from the days I work at Knotts Scary Farm. But I'll look into doing what you suggested, I have a can opener like that (after I slit my hand open mushing my moms trash can down and sliced my had open. That hurt) I normally do a few pennies in a soda can and the rattle noise isn't quite the same, Thanks again

Yesterday I purchased 36 LED tea lights, http://www.save-on-crafts.com/tealights.html
After seeing Haunted Mansion Holiday a few years ago I wanted to have something look like this. If I don't use it in a room, I'll place them around the graveyard.

Sadly, we probably won't be doing anything for Halloween again. There was a time when it was a lot of fun for me and I use to love dressing up. Now, it just seems like the magic of Halloween is gone. Maybe it is where I live. There are so many people in Florida so against Halloween, "The Devil's Holiday", that it really isn't celebrated.

We use to decorate our apartment, but none of our friends like to do anything for Halloween, and we don't get kids anymore. Do kids even GO door to door trick or treating, or has it become so unsafe kids just go to the mall?

Wow, Halloween is next month. Yeah, I used to have fun dressing up. Then I would go to the school's 'harvest faire', play games then later go trick-or treating. But as the years went by, I had homework and was generally busier, and didn't have time to shop for a costume. And now I just wait till my brother gets home with the candy and just steal from him, lol.

Since I started to do my own haunted house we get more and more every year. When I started I only got about 10 now that has doubled. the problem I notice is that instead of people staying home and going around in my neighborhood I see them leaving and going to neighborhoods that pass out candy (if they would stay in the neighbourhood more people would come around)

For anybody that's seen our site, we have decided on a layout. We're going to make the maze a little smaller but plan on adding to out existing poka-dot room.

The plan is to add hanging fluorescent balls about the guests heads and we're going to paint fluorescent balls onto the floor. Hopefully the effect will make the room all encompasing.

Sub, I saw an ad for a chainsaw for $29.95 and I went to the sale to get you one and they had sold all of the cheap ones by the time I had gotten off work and got there. Not that you aren't worth the expensive ones, its' just that my pocketbook caters to my beer budget on my champaign dreams :D

Did you ever get one? Have you started getting your house ready yet?
