Yanks move to 1-1 and are now tied with Boston in the AL East and Mets, Braves, and Phillies are also tied at 1-0 for First in the NL East. :D :D

Still 161 left for most teams. Should be interesting to watch through the summer months of June-Aug.

No they will win. It is just a matter of when. They should do better than the NJ Nets did during this past basketball season. I do think they will have a losing record overall.

Hey, at least you guys are talking about my team. The O's didn't do so hot last night, either... I don't have anything to get excited about yet.

...except maybe hockey... GO CAPITALS. (Season SWEEP of the Penguins last night!)

WOW! Talk about a betrayal! Being an Atlanta fan, I'm used to seeing a lot of fans for the other team. Why do you think we home open the season against the cubs? That puts butts in the seats! But to have my team sell tickets to the other side before I can get a shot at them! That's just WRONG!!

Try being a Florida Marlins fan when the Mets or Yankees come to town. Way too many NY transplants in South Florida... :x

That's not South Florida, that's the Southern most Burroughs of NYC! I know I live in Ft Myers for over 15 years.

Well, I have to admit when we went to see the Angels & Yankees play at Angel Stadium, I could not believe how many Yankees fans were there...sometimes it was hard to tell if we were in Anaheim or New York....

MmeLeota, I have no problem with the article you posted about Stan Kasten. He's a business man trying to sell his product and he used the Phillies in order to do it. There were MANY games I watched on TV (because it's about 1 1/2 hours to the park) last year where they were LUCKY to have 15,000 in the stands at a brand new ball park. NATS fans have had plenty of opportunities to fill the park and never do. Until they do, I can't blame the guy for wanting to sell tickets. I'm not a big fan of him going on Philadelphia radio saying that NATS stadium needs to be their "home away from home"... that got me a little miffed...

Yeah, I think it's crappy the way Mr. Kasten went about doing it...gosh, a new stadium and only 15,000??? Sounds like what would happen if we ever got a team. Our AAA stadium holds about 10,000 and on a typical night (read: non-promotional weeknight) we're lucky to get 3,000. I understand where he's coming from, but like you the "execution" could have been handled differently.
