Wow!! What a performance. For a team that you watch for the hits he makes you love to watch when the other team is up. He mezmorizes me when he pitches. Class act too. Congrats Roy!

I live in south Philly and gotta say its a fun time to live in this area. The energy here is great. And with a start like that, it's gonna get crazy around here again. What a game

Great game pitched by Roy Halladay!! It was a true classic performance, one that will be remembered in history!! It also most likely punched his ticket to the HoF! That said, do remember, it was just the first game and I don't think Cincy is going to be a push over.

hmm I guess that might be where we disagree. I don't see Cincy putting up that big of a fight. I actually foresee them going down pretty easy.

So the Rays lost big time, the Phillies won big time, and the Yankees played in a tough battle.

That's awesome - that place had to be rockin last night. Its usually loud during regular season games but the playoffs make it that much crazier. I got shafted this year with my partial season plan so did not attend last night. The lottery gave us late games in each series which I am torn....do I want to go to games or have them close out early!?!?

We could meet up at Chickie's (but would have to get there 3 hours ahead of time!).

I avoid Chickie's like the Plague. Most bars would be crowded for the game. Tonight I will be at a show, my friends band is playing at Kung Fu Necktie up on Front. I am giving them a gift and photographing there sets.

I like the crab fries at the ballpark. But they are not so good that I want to wait in that Disney World like line for them. We got to the park about an hour and 15 minutes before gametime back in May when the Sox were there.... the line was already snaked out past the end of the bank line thingy they have set up. So, we got beer instead.

I try to make them at home but I can't seem to get the dipping sauce right.

Well one of the teams has made their way into the ALCS. Congrats to the Yankees in repeating history with another sweep of the Twins in the playoffs.

They haven't thrown a pitch yet in the Braves/Giants game and I'm already sick of that droning chant and that inane chop.
