Yes it's for PC's, they are all I deal with. Jacca don't do Mac.

As for Mac, my brother Mark86 is a bigger Mac user. I converted over to Mac in summer 2008. It was the best move I made. Apple does offer a student discount which knocks about $100 off the regular retail price. Secondly, the machines are super fast and very solid. I take my 13 inch MacBook Pro with me to school in a book bag (computer book-bag) and haven't even gotten a scratch on it. The battery life on the laptops is excellent. They come with some great software preinstalled that allows you to do some music editing. I have yet to have an issue with my Mac. As for my PC. I have already had to redo the operating system three times from scratch as some start up files get corrupted and prevent the machine from booting and I have also blown out a hard drive due to all this. I also don't use my PC as much now since it runs a lot slower when compared to the Mac. Sad thing is the PC is still a 2.20 Ghz with 4GB Ram.

Soarin': What's wrong with your MacBook? Please let me know. I'll try and help you out, but I'm a bit tied up for the next couple of days due to finals.

Unfortunately, no. It's a small company so only one "wanna be" IT guy. He's very limited in his knowledge. BIG change from where I used to work in Jax...

I must give thanks to all those who put input into solving my computer woes. So far, knock on wood, it seems to be behaving much better. I think that ccleaner did the trick

Still looking into getting a macbook for my music composing/editing though...although I still need to check out cool edit pro before I do so. If that would work for my music then I could get a laptop for a whole bunch cheaper!
