Interesting to see this thread pop up. I don't mind the snow. I just hate how the last two winters all the snow we have gotten in Central Jersey has been mixed with sleet creating this heavy mess icey mess that is tough to shovel.

My opinion, if it's light and fluffy, I'll take it any day!

I hate the snow. I can't wait to move further south for two reasons: 1) I will be closer to Disney and 2) the chance for snow diminishes and the chance of a tropical Christmas increases!

I'm definately most comfortable in the summer!

I'm glad to see that so many are excited about snow. Now that fall is here I must say that I'm not looking forward to the snow. But I really don't mind it as long as its not too much. A couple of good storms through out the winter season is good enough for me.

I live in PA and really do not like the cold cold weather. I like the snow but only on the weekends when I don't have to drive to work in it! The bad part for me is that I'm at work at 7am and most of the roads are not touched at that early hour. Sometimes they are just starting to get ready for the school busses. The good part is that there are not many cars on the roads that early so if you do slide you won't hit anyone!
Someday I want to move to Florida....oh and work in Disney World!

I live in Michigan in a rural community, so plow trucks and salt trucks get to us when they feel like it....after they take care of other, more populated areas. It is beautiful to see snow on the trees and just about everything else. I love it as long as I don't have to drive long distances in it. I'd rather ski in it. On the worst days, I wish I didn't have to put up with it (winter in Michigan feels like it can go on forever), but most of the time, I love 4 distinct seasons...and snow in the winter goes along with the change in seasons.

We don't get any snow down here in South Florida.

Except for that one day back in January 1977 when we did see snow in Miami...

I love the snow. I live in Michigan, and our winters are cold and snowy and it is great.

Living in North Carolina we don't get much snow except in the mountains. I like it when I want to go skiing or when I need an excuse to stay home from work. Other than that it is usually a bother.

For the most part, I enjoy snow. It's pleasing to the eye and it provides a great excuse to stay home and read. Living in New Mexico, we do get a decent amount for our area. That is to say we get enough to satisfy any craving someone might have. Sometimes it even decides to get crazy and snow a ton (a normal amount for the northeast and northern colorado), and everyone freaks out and shuts down businesses including the mall and all your major retailers. People will drive 10 mph as it starts sticking so they make it home alive. Others will zoom past you going 60 and then you see them spin out ahead into a pole. Sometimes schools will be closed because of a light dusting on the town streets. On other occasions it will snow two feet and there won't even be a two hour delay. Ya overall, it gets quite interesting when it snows out here in the southwest...

Snow on Xmas morning is just fine with me. Driving in it is no fun and I never look forward to it.

Speaking of snow...I don't know if anybody has seen this picture, maybe some of the cast members can help me out. A family member had shown me a copy of a picture that hangs on the wall in the Company D (I think that was what it is called) building. The pictures shows Cinderella's castle and the walkways around it are covered with snow. It wasn't a part of any show or a creation of the Imagineers. It was from an actual snowfall. He told me that it was taken sometime in the seventies when there was a heavy snowfall in WDW. I would think that there was about 5-6 inches of snow on the ground in the photo. Can anybody confirm that this is true and when did it happen?

I know that it can snow in Florida, but I have never heard of such a substantial snowfall.
Are we there yet? When can we go back?

I don't know what's worse, the anticipation of going or the withdrawals after getting home.

rknrlrcstr,

I have a feeling someone is pulling your leg and using a picture of Tokyo's Castle, where they do indeed get snow.

In January of '77 there was a snow storm that reached as far south as West Palm Beach, FL.
