Now I get to watch some playoff hockey in peace knowing the Rangers are in. Although I think my heart skipped a couple of beats during the game.

You didn't see anything? Oh, that's rich! Avery is the biggest piece of excrement to lace up skates. No one in the NHL wanted him on their team. Including the Blue Shirts. For some reason Glen Sather likes this guy. Which says more about Sather than anything else.

The cheap shot that Avery took on Tim Thomas last week was horribile
I actually laughed when it happend and heres why. 3 weeks ago my wife and I took my dad to see a Panthers/Bruins game. My father and I have been Ranger fans all our lives, but also root for the Panthers. We have never seen a goalie do what Thomas does. He always, ALWAYS goes to the blue line and gets in a knee in between commercials and breaks. Why? Goalies should stay in the net! We kept saying all night that eventually someone would hit him, and well, it was our boy Avery!!! LETS GO BLUESHIRTS!!!!!

Maybe they should start doing that. Thomas is going to win the Vezina this year.

edit: not to mention the fact that Scott Gomez injured our Number 1 Goalie. If Ryan Miller hadn't been hurt, we probably would've won a couple more games, gotten a few more points, and made it. so they really knocked us out 2 ways...
That was a terrible play. I personally think that Gomez was not intentionally trying to do that. I just felt that it was two men going for the puck and there was contact. It was terrible to lose Miller at that time. But, I don't foresee the Rangers hanging around the playoffs for long. IMHO, they don't stand that strong of a chance.

Better luck next year, and I am sorry that my team knocked you guys out of it.

Nice to see hockey fans

Post by DaRkNeSs » Apr Sat 11, 2009 11:25 am

Sorry I dont like the Rangers, I was happy for NY when they got the cup thou!
I was very excited to see the Caps got second in the East, cant remember if they ever got that high of a seeding b4. Bring on the PLAYOFFS, I cant wait!!
I would also like add to say that even with the NHL's attempts to make Crosby the player to watch. Both Ovechkin and Malkin are better all around players then him. That was proven last year when crosby was injuried Malkin carried that team. Good Luck to everyones teams in the playoffs. (except whoever plays the caps in first round hehe) :)
Great to see we have some hockey fans on this forum!

Apparently there are some non-hockey fans somewhere. Or at least non-Stan Jonathan fans. My avatar disappeared! Whoever in the front office deemed it offensive or that it broke some rule, your team will now face the Curse of Stan Jonathan!!!! :x

The Red Wings don't even know who their playing in the first round but they are very familar with 2 out of the 3 teams they may have to play as it may be St Louis or Columbus depending on how St Louis does in today's game against the Avalanche. I just love playoff hockey!!

Oh, I'm so happy that the Ducks cinched the playoff spot but they may be bumped out fast if they play against Dallas or San Jose first.

Dallas? They didn't even make the playoffs, but they do play San Jose in the first round which should be a good first round matchup. Detroit plays Columbus which scares me because they have given us a hard time all year.
