Funny that I just saw this thread...
Right now I'm a Technical Producer (a.k.a. "web developer") at CNET Networks, in their Games, Entertainment, and Lifestyle division, working on CHOW.com and UrbanBaby.com...
BUT...
I put in my two weeks' notice yesterday. Starting May 27th, I will be employee #17 at Yardbarker.com, a sports startup in the social networking/blogging arena. My title will be "Developer" and my focus will be the Ruby on Rails backend and utilizing my knowledge of CSS and accessibility, findability, and usability best practices to keep the front end of the site as user-friendly as possible.
Anyway, I was going to announce my new job in my own thread, but hey, that's what this thread is (basically) about anyway!
Oh, and I've worked as a web developer for a little over 4 years now.

I'm a training consultant for FranklinCovey Company teaching 7 Habits, Time Management, Project Management, Leadership, and other things. Just finished filing State tax returns for 16 states that I worked in last year.
My goal right now is to build a floating meeting/training facility on Lake Norman NC. I've received a clear trademark on "Illumination" as her name.
I'll be hitting up Sub and rdeacon for some help with design ideas and website help

And since I'm posting from work I shall add here that, in all seriousness, I <3 my job. But I'm still looking forward to sleep.

I'm a project engineer at a large company in St. Paul. They are truly evil because they've blocked me from Subsonic. Losers. Outside of that I don't mind work, but would love to be an Imagineer (hint to the Disney execs out there - we've got lots of creative minds with nothing to do all winter long except come up with brilliant new ideas here in MN!).
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Well now that would be telling. (Though as that's already telling, yes, yes I do. Behind the scenes though; no celebrities here.)wdwannabe wrote:Ok, disbeamer, do you work for the weather channel? I thought you lived in GA, from other posts I think I've read. I live north of Athens, GA.
