Aww, you're all the best. I feel much better about it knowing there's all this fabulous support. So I'm all set with my candy to bribe the IT people and have my resume ready just in case my new laptop streaming gets me fired!

Hmm, maybe I'd better wait awhile so they think I'm reliable first.

I hate my job, but that's besides the point.

I can listen to , and browse the subsonic forums, cause i'm the network admin here, and feel it would not be in my best interests to block them! :P

I always knew that being the boss had its benefits. I can listen to subsonic all day long and nobody can say a thing. Although sometimes people want to know why my office sounds like a haunted house.

I'm back!! I just accidentally clicked on my old Subsonic bookmark during lunch and suddenly I was in! I don't know if I can get the music because I'm in the middle of a Six Sigma class, but all in all life is good. Hope you're all having a magical day!

I like my job now. I'm now in outside sales, and with that, I can listen from my car whenever I want, so long as I bring my laptop and cell phone modem card.

I have been working on this very problem. I have searched endless forums tech sites and what have you to find out how I can transmit WIFI over long distance, without breaking the bank. I have a few ideas, they will probably work out in DL but WDW is a tough nut to crack. I would have to setup shop in almost every park/resort/waterpark not a cheap solution. But I did find a $1000 system that fits in a back pack..........if you call $1000 cheap, and I don't know how easy it is going to be to get into the park. I will post something after I get it setup.

Grrr! My evil company blocked me from Subsonic again. Clearly they're on to me and want me to work harder.

I wouldn't get through a day of work if they banned it here. I'd be using web proxy's to bypass those firewalls. What are they going to do? Fire me because I was listening to music that makes me productive??

My work has browser security that blocks specific addresses by category but I can still get to this site. They also block most of the ports so I can only stream on the generic port 80 or 8000.

A couple of thoughts: Can Esmerelda try accessing a stream directly via ip address? I know we used to link directly to the ip address instead of the friendly named links that we have today. If she's blocked by domain name then this might be a way to get through.

The second idea requires hardware. I can stream via my Palm phone on the Sprint network. Assuming you had Sprint Vision or a similar unlimited data plan, Esmerelda, you could always stick some headphones into your phone and be good to go (literally!)
